St Albans is a very popular and attractive Cathedral City with a history dating back to the Romans.
By day, the charming old streets of the centre are packed with fashionable specialist shops, mixing contemporary living with traditional outlets including street markets, cafes and restaurants as well as the usual excellent high street stores and supermarkets.
Evenings in the city centre come alive with a multitude of bars, pubs and restaurants of all descriptions and origins catering for a wide taste and ethnic mix.
Leisure activities are comprehensive with at least three major gymnasiums/fitness clubs, three theatres, two museums, three rugby clubs and a multitude of other sporting clubs and facilities. Parkland is interspersed throughout the City and the whole is surrounded by greenbelt countryside. And this is all under 20 mins from St Pancras. There is also a direct train service to Brighton.
The local education facilities are excellent and contain some of the top performing state and private sector schooling.
